Manus 2.0 Launches with Enhanced AI Agent Features and Cost Reductions

Manus 2.0 was released on September 29, 2026, introducing significant enhancements to its AI agent platform. The new version allows users to edit videos, host multiplayer games, and manage agents remotely from their phones. Jonathan Kemper reports that the Cascade agent in Manus 2.0 operates with 23.2 percent fewer tokens and costs 32 percent less to run compared to its predecessor. Automations can now trigger based on events such as incoming emails or Slack messages, expanding the platform's capabilities.

The Manus Studio desktop app supports these features, while the Cue app provides agents with email, wallet, and computer functionalities. Meta, which acquired Manus in late 2025, is now focusing on its own AI agent, Muse, which also offers users dedicated cloud computers. Tencent is currently negotiating for a significant stake in Manus, indicating strong interest in the platform's potential. Manus 2.0 is available now, with Cue in free early access via invite code.
