Meta Launches $150 Smart Glasses for Hearing Impaired at Meta Connect

Meta has unveiled new smart glasses priced at $150, designed specifically for Americans affected by hearing loss, which numbers around 50 million. Developed over five years, these glasses aim to provide a more accessible alternative to traditional hearing aids, which can cost as much as $1,600.

The glasses will integrate with Muse, Meta’s personal agentic system, allowing users to listen to music comfortably and take phone calls without needing to reach for their phones. Mark Zuckerberg emphasized the company's vision that smart glasses represent the future of personal technology.

This launch occurred during the Meta Connect event held from October 13 to 15 in San Francisco, where Meta showcased its commitment to enhancing accessibility through innovative technology.
