NVIDIA Launches DSX Ready to Qualify Power and Cooling Products for AI Factories

NVIDIA has launched the DSX Ready program to qualify power and cooling products specifically for AI factories. The program initially focuses on two categories: battery energy storage systems (BESS) and cooling distribution units (CDU). Qualified BESS solution providers include Hitachi Energy, LG Energy Solution, and Tesla, while LG Electronics, LiquidStack, and Vertiv are recognized as qualified CDU solution providers. Qualification tests are mandated for BESS providers, establishing a clear boundary for qualification. NVIDIA emphasizes that selecting products aligned with complete factory designs is essential for maximizing AI output. They also note that passing qualification does not substitute for site-level engineering or guarantee site-level stability. This initiative follows NVIDIA's recent efforts in enhancing safety and security frameworks for AI deployment, indicating a continued focus on infrastructure support for AI applications.
